GREATER CHICAGO Mental health awards for two organizations Mrs. Esther McCann, 10921 Buffalo ave., (second from left) and Mrs. Vincent V. Holmberg, 9025 S. Claremont ave., recently accepted awards for their groups in recognition for Mental Health Association volunteer participation. Mrs. McCann is the mental health chairman of Amvets auxiliary. Mrs. Holmberg is president of the Illinois Federation of Women’s clubs. Both organizations are co-sponsors of the association’s Operation Snowball program, which distributes holiday gifts at Christmas to hospitalized mental patients. Operation Snowball also sponsors year-round recreational activities for mental patients. Participating in the presentation event were the Rev. Francis A. Chiaramonte (left) chairman of the Citizens’ Advisory council of the board of Health Community Mental Health center, and Roy Wiley, an association vice president.
