Several weeks ago we mentioned that Clarence Wilde was the first white child born in Afton. We did this to find out if there were any earlier births. Since then we have authentic records of the following: Dorcas Charlotta Hunt, born June 1, 1884, Afton, daughter of Abel Maroni Hunt and Cynthia Hill Hunt, died Mar.12, 1902, buried at Thayne. Daniel Hunt, son of some parents, born June 15, 1886 at Afton, died Dec. 15 1888 and buried at Afton. Wm. M. Cazier, born Mar 6, 1887 at Afton, still living in Afton. Clarence Wilde, born at Afton in May 1887, living at Idaho Falls. Mrs. May Eggleston Stock, born July 1887 at Afton, still living in Afton. Aaron Heap, born at Thayne in 1879, First white child born in Star Valley that we have any record of. If you know of any before these please let us know.
