THE PARNELL1TE EXPLANATIONS.The following letter also appears in to-day s TinieiSir,—Tb© statements made by Mr Parnell and Mr Jnst;n M’Csrtby abautthat £IC0 cheque confirm suspicions I bad during the 1882-83 period. These statements, if true, can be proved by the production of these gentlemen’s back bocks. But are they true ?Mr M’Cartby saya with truth that the “National League and Land League of Great Britiu ” had no bank account. But he forgets that it had a treasurer (Mr Thomas Quinn. How docs this tally with Byrne’s letter of February 8tb, addreEccd to the executive of which Mr M’Carthy was ctixiran? Here are his words:—“I wa% as you have no doubt been informed by Mr M’Sweeney, obliged to leave suddenly by the positive orders of the doctor, and could not in consequence communicate with yon previous to my departure. Mr M.’Sweeney will also have informed you that I received the promised cheque —£100—from Mr Parnell on the day 1 left London.”The two versions are wholiyjinconaiatent. According
