The students are misses Jan e Jackson, Darlene Court, Vikki ‘Beals, Cindy Murry, Leah Davis, Joy Lewis and Debbie ‘Skrivanek. The teachers are, Mrs. Martha Wilson and Miss Mary Ellen Dorsey. R. M. Jackson, the father of one of the students, said that the parents first heard about ‘the problem Monday when Darlene Court called home from Rome. Mrs. Court said that Darlene didn’t know exactly why they were stranded but said that they had been notified that the tour was canceled. Jackson said that Miss Dorsey had called him on Tuesday and said that she hoped that they would leave Rome on Friday and hopefully return to Bryan through O’Hare airport in Chicago. Jackson said that apparently all that had been salvaged out of the tour com pany’s collapse was enough money to bring the students home. Jackson said that the students were being lodged and fed but that the parents didn’t know who was supplying the money. “I assume that the agency that was originally supposed to supply it is doing it, but then most of the girls had travelers checks so we will have to wait to see,” he said. The Bryan tourists left Houston on July 1 and were to tour Europe until August 9. Mrs. Court said that Rome was the only place they had visited and that they were very disappointed. According to news reports the World Academy agency listed $300 thousand in assets and debts of $4 million. Jackson said that as far as he could find out, there was no hope of get ting any refunds from the agency.
