Church Seana at 3 p. m. The Rev. Johnny Brown, pastor, of ficiated, assisted by the Rev. Jesse Swindell, pastor of the Haw ley Baptist Church. Mr. Kilgroe, pioneer Hawley railroad depot agent, died unex pectedly about 2:30 p. m. Monday at his home six miles east of Haw ley. He became ill suddenly and died a few minutes later. He was born Sept. 5, 1885, in Ashville, Ala. He came to Texas about the turn of the century and moved to Hawley in 1906. He was the first depot agent in Haw ley, operating the Hawley station when the railroad opened up. After leaving the Hawley agency he farmed and worked for an oil company until 1932, when he moved back to Hawley. He operated a service station in Haw ley from 194244. He was also depot agent at Baird during 1952 and lived in Hawley. He retired in January, 1953. For the past nine years, Mr. Kilgroe had been a depot agent at Pyote for the TP Railway Co. He and his wife moved to Pyote from Hawley in 1944. He was married Jan. 8, 1928, at Seymour. Survivors are his wife; two step sons, Collie and Elyce Franklin, both of Hawley; two brothers, Solomon Kilgroe of Atlanta, Ga. and Joe Kilgroe of Pell City, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Bridges and Mrs. Willie K. Hyde of Pell City, Ala., and Mrs. Janie Jones of Washington, D. C.; _ several nieces and nephews and eight grandchildren. Burial was in the Hawley Ceme tery under the direction of Law rence Funeral Home.
