IN MEMORY OF WILLIAM PHASEOn the first of May, ISM5, God in His infinite wisdom saw lil to tu*e from our midst our dear uncle. Mr. Pease was horn Nov. II, 1819; In* was married to Adaline Adams and to this union were horn four children, three of whom still survive him, two girls and one hoy. His wife died a-bout twelve years ago. At the time nt his death he was living near La Payette with his daughter, Miss Frauki* Pease. II** suffered for almost a year with that dread disease, cancer. Mr Pease professed a hope in Christ when young and united with the Methodist church and for the last few' years of his life In* lived a consecrated Christian. All was done to relieve his suffering that loving hands could do, hut God knew best and called him to his reward.The last few weeks, when he realized the end was near, lie would talic of dying as if he was going to church and would call the family together around the bedside and sing the beautiful song of Zion. Dear children I would say, “Weep not for father, for we have the blessed assurance that he is basking in the sunlight of God's eternal love and it is only a short time until the same God will calf for us, whether prepared or unprepared.” We all too must answer. He told the family that lie was read to go any time and these words should he a sweet consolation to the loved ones. Happy are the deed which die in the Lord.Interment was in the Gordon cemetery. Kev.
