John FF. Dryden on Commission Named by Governor. Governor Fort yesterday an nounced the appointment of the fol lowing commission to erect a monu ment on the battlefield of Salem Church, Va.: John F. Dryden; Gen eral Joseph W. Plume and John S. Gibson, Newark; W. H. Cawley, Som erville; Albert W. Whitehead, East Orange; H. H. Hoffman, Newark. “The Governor also appointed as members of the Board of Certified Public Accountants Frank G. DuBois, for the unexpired term now held by Elmer B. Yale, and John E. Cooper, to fill the vacancy caused by the re signation of W. Sanders Davies. John Harper, of Manning avenue, will leave Monday for Jersey City to spend a week at the home of his relatives. —
