-HY8TEEI0US DISAfTEAAAHGE Of 1 SULCOETTEA IffiRIf AH.Application was made to Mr. Bros, at Dnlston Police-court to-day, for publicity to be given to the fact that Mr. George Reuben East, a weH-known yeast merchant, of 163, Bentham-rood. Cassland-road, South Hackney, had been missing from his home since Monday, July 1. There was no reason why he should go away ; an accountant had gone through bis books and there was nothing wrong. He went out to go to Thorn Bros., at the Nine Elms Brewery, to pay a bill amounting to nearly £100. He had the cash with him, but he never reached the brewery, and no tidings of him had reached any of his friends. Mrs. East, who made the application and was referred to the Press, described her husband as being 5ft. 4in. in height, very dark, with brown eycs and dark moustache and whiskers. He was wearing a blue serge suit, a bhie peaked cap, and patent leather boots, stiver watch and chain, and diamond ring. He had i» his possession a pearl handle knife, on which was engraved Alice Dexter Rattray ” (applicant's maiden name). The missing man had a brown birth-mark on his neck, and of late he had complained of pains in his head.
