Bach-racb, a native of Hungary, is in the city on his way southward, and will, on Friday evening. deliver a lecture at Library Hall, his subject being “Siberia.1’ Mr. Bachraeb has bad a checkered career. He was one of Garibaldi’s fighters for liberty in 1858-’59, and in 1863~:M participated in the Polish ' revolution., Alter its suppression he was sent to Siberia' as a political prisoner, where for sis years he worked in the lead mines until, in'1870, through the intercession of the Hungariau government, he was set free. -Just at this time, when almost daily hundreds of unfortunates are sent from. Russia to Siberia to drag out a miserable existence there in those mines, Sir. Behrach’s lecture cacnot fail to attract great interest. Mr. Bachrach lectures in German.
