OBITUARY.MR. THOMAS J. ALLMAN.On Jubilee Day, the 22nd nit, quite unexpectedly, Mr. T. J. Allman, the well-known educational publisher, of 67, New Oxford-street, suddenly died from a stroke of apoplexy, to the great grief of his surviving relatives and numerous staff, to whom he had been a sympathetic and genial employer and kind friend.Mr. Allman will be best remembered by the many travellers with whom he was brought into oontaot as a smart business man, whose yea meant yea, and nay nay. Of sound sense and judgment, he was greatly respected both in business and out.On Good Friday last Mr. Allman had the misfortune to lose his wife. His ashes now rest beside hers, for his remains were oremated at Woking, and deposited at Ooulsden Cemetery.The firm of Allman Son, Ltd., will go on as usual under the able oonductorship of Mr. Albert F. Allman, who now becomes the chief of the concern.
