EDITOR: The theory that a ‘‘sonic boom’’ caused Kokomo’s recent ‘‘MYSTERY BLAST” can not be ruled out because of Air Force denials of jets in the area. In fact I would have been surprised if the Air Force had said it was a jet! Air Force regulations speci fically state that planes are not to pass through the sonic barrier under 30,000 feet over land. At that or higher levels little or no effect is felt upon the ground. Now, as to the cause of the ‘MYSTERY BLAST*’’. Such blasts have often been re ported while U.F.O.’s were being tracked at speeds sev eral times above the hyper sonic range. At such speeds even the electromagnetic gra vity shield cannot prevent the U.F.CO.’s from making a ‘‘sonic boom’’ or ‘‘SKY QUAKE”’. The evidence is such, that I feel the Kokomo ‘‘MYSTERY BLAST*’ was caused by a Spaceship operating at or above hypersonic range. And if such a blast is heard again train your binoculars on the sky, for the chances are very good that you will be rewarded with a glimpse of a still hovering Spaceship. Signed, Lawrence E.
