Early Pioneer Passes AwayGeorg© Myron Bybee, a residentof Tropic for thirty-nine years,passed away at his home there Friday June 30, after a lingering IHness.He was a son of David andAdelia Higley By bee and was bora*at Weber, Weber county, Utah, September 1, 1SG1, He made hlhome there until 1880, when he was summoned to Arizona to aid,his sister, whose husband had been,killed by Indians, He remained there two years and was returning to his home in Utah whensome delay caused him to stop atKanab, Utah- There he met Louisa Stewart, to whom he was married September 27, 1S84 atKanab, To this union twelve children were born, five of whom preceded him in death,He came to Tropic valley In the fall of 1893, having resided theresince. He spent most of his lifeIn the sawmill business. He wasliked and respected by everyonewho knew him, II© was a faithful Latter Day Saint, and adhered closely to the principles of his religion.Those surviving him besides hia widow are G, JVL Jr., Levi M,, Gerald, Mrs. Wim Pollocfc; Mrs. Mer-j lin Campbell and Mrs. DelbertCampbell, all of Tropic; and Lamar By bee of Glendale, also thirty-on© living grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.Funeral services were held in the ward clmpel Saturday, July 1, at 11 o'clock a .m. with Councilor Samuel Pollock presiding and conducting the services, which wore as follows:First song, a quartette composedof James Munson, Floyd Ahletrom,Leo and Karma Barton, who sang I Know That My Redeemer Lives.Opening prayer, by itichard Ott. Duet, Caat Thy Bread Upon the Water, Ida Littlefield andFrancis Leach,The speakers were John M. Allen, John H. Davla, Isaac E. Caf-fall, Minerva Caffall, Elizabeth Miller, J, fL. Jolleyt and Leo Barton Duet, Ida Littlefield and Francis Leach.Song, That Silver Ilalred Daddy of Mine, by Irma Pollock and Mavon Woolsey,The closing song was sung by Mr .and Mra. Joseph H, Johnson, Benediction by Floyd Ahlstrom. Interment was In the Tropic cemetery, and the grave was dedicated by Elder John Watson ofthe Glendale ward.—Garfield Co, News,
