Three Altoona men who went out of their way to pick a fight with three visiting Marines on weekend leave forfeited $55 each today in police court. The three marines were found not guilty of fighting by police court magistrate Merle K. Wag ner. Forfeiting their security were Ronald C. Fink, 22, and William G. Fink, 23, of 2216 8th Ave., and Patrick E. Boston, 21, of 1908 2nd Ave. Found not guilty were Robert M. Rucinski, 19, of 213 Memory Lane, Schofield, Wis.; Kenneth J. Simpson, 19, of Camp Lejune, N.C.; and David A. Farnbaugh, 20, of 510 20th Ave. Also, Justice Wagner found Thomas R. Wolf, 19, of 109 7th Ave. not guilty of disorderly con duct and breach of the peace a fter Wolf said he was trying to get money for a shirt that was ripped in another fight last week. Wolf said his brother was wear ing his shirt when it was torn in a fight at the San Donato So ciety last week. One of the men who allegedly ripped it was Lee C. (Sudsy) Evans, 44, of 104 E, 4th Ave. Wolf, after being told by his brother that Evans had just walked by the house, asked Evans for the money to pay for the shirt. Evans, according to Wolf, then pushed him, and Wolf responded with a punch. Evans said Wolf “jumped” him, but later admitted he push ed Wolf. Wolf was found not guilty, but Evans was fined $50 plus $5, or 5 days in jail. The incident occurred in front of the State Liquor Store on me Avenue at 4:35 p.m. yester ay. The fight between the three Al toonans and Marines occurred at about 2:38 a.m. today. Police said they saw two cars stopped on Eleventh Avenue at Seventeenth Street. Police said they gave David and Ronald Fink and Bengton about two minutes head, start, and then let Rucinski, Simpson and Farnbaugh go. However, the three Altoonans, were waiting on the other side of the bridge at Fifth Avenue Alley and Seventeenth Street, and forced the car containing the Ma rines off the street. Police ar rived a few minutes later to find one man with a tire iron. All six were arrested.
