Enrollment Hay Reach4000 MarkIt’s Deginning to appeal that even the most optimistic outlooks concerning enrollment this fall at New Mexicc State University will be conservative.George H. Dennard, director of admission at NMSU said that applications for admission -are presently running 100 per cent ahead o: figures a year ago. ,As of June 24. 1961, applications for admission received by Dennard’s office numbered 1,200, not including summer registration. Tht figure on the same dale ir I960 was 676. The applications are submitted by freshmen and transfer students.Dennard’s office had issuec 605 permits to enroll by June 24.The increased number o: applications is also reflectec in the housing department Samuel E.
