Bullock-Webster, of this city, who was unfortunate enough to be cut out of leaving for the front with the ..4th Battalion through illness, will now get away with the 103rd. He ha- been passed as medically fit by the doctors and expects to leave very shortly.The Victoria Colonist in a recent issue contained the following reference to this well known resident of the city. With the article was the accompanying illustration:Major Bullock-Webster, of the 54th Battalion, C. E. F., as acting adjutant. At the beginning of the war he joined the 68th Regiment. E. G. 0. R., and obtained a commission, having proviously served for six years with the Gloucestershire Volunteers. He was appointed a subaltern in D Company, 47th Battalion, and was transferre 1 to the 54th Battalion as captain. During the organization of the 54th, he was for a time in command at Cranbrook. He was in com-i! mand of the advance party sent to ' pitch cami at Vernon last year. In ~ | October. 1915, a serious attack of 'typhoid fever interfered with Major Bullock-Webster’s plans, as. during his illness, the 54th left for England. He since has been attached to the 11th C. M. R. lor recruiting in North, ern British Columbia.
