Twice recently lias death entered our town and two of our most be-Aloved women have responded to the call. The first was Mrs. Quillie Edwards. Last winter Mr. W. W. Edwards and familv moved to Pavo from near Athens He hoped that -this mild climate would restore lii.3 wife’s declining health. The hope was in vain. Wednesday, June 20, she fell ft victim to the great white plague. The body was carried to the old home in -North Georgia for interment. Mr. Edwards and his two small children returned Saturday. Mrs. Edwards was a good woman. She had made a host of friends during her abort sojourn in our midst.Mrs. John Strickland who had been sick with Typhoid fever for three or four weeks, died Saturday night. She was buried Sunday afternoon at Lebanon. Elder R. H. Bar-rwick conducted the funeral services.All who know Mrs. Strickland loved*her. Her going away has caused a '.VCe of sorrow to sweep 'over our town.Sickness.Mrs. Sal lie Butler, who has been ill nearly five weeks with fever, is slow-ily improving.Mr. Jake Wooten is critically ill with fever.
