Park Board approves skateboard trackBy STEPHEN GROGGThe Tipton Park Board tentatively approved the proposed skateboard course and also considered a new park ordinance that would prohibit the drinking of alcoholic beverages at their monthly me'eting last Monday evening.Though Mayor Bill Kendall was out of town, he relayed a message to board president Don Havens that a local industry has laid out. planned and contracted for obtaining a new skateboard course. The cost of the project would be .approximately $1.600 and will be paid by sta unnamed donor.The board passed a motion to approve the skateboard path subject to approval of all plans by the board and subject to the resolution of insurance liability problems that may arise.The board also considered the approval of a new park ordinance, which would make the drinking of alcoholic beverages illegal in the park. The board made no final decision on this issue.At this time there is no ordinance concerning the drinking of any alcoholic , beverage at the city park.
