ROPED 49 WILD HORSESIN FOUR DAYS TIMENear Tullock, some 15 miles northeast of Hardin, last week, there was the annual gathering: of the Spear outfit, gathering up the wild horses—mostly branded but running wild.There were present in the party: Mr. and Mrs. C. H. As-bury and family; Jack Cornwell and wife; Mayme McGovern; Willis Spear, wife and family; Mr. Faddis and wife; Mr. Held and wife, from Omaha, Nebr.; Fred Gibber and wife from Clearmont; Charlie Willie; Allie Colwell; Jeff Bartley; G. 0. Miles; “Bronc” Savage; Mrs. Ollie Hoyt; Junior Spear; Mrs. Ruth Spear; “Bill Spear and wife; Harold Hihner; “Speck” Snyder; Miss Gordon, Nelle Willey and others.“Speck” Snyder had the distinction of roping the first “bronc.” R. F. Edgerton was the capable and accommodating chef. ,The outing lasted four days— and all had a fine time. Forty-nine horses were roped.
