William Siurlai: was twenty-five years old and a consistent member ot the Presoyterian church. He possessed the Stirling qualities of the good old Scotch character and was well and favorably known by a large rtrcle of fiiends in and about Uuvan.Many jg tear fell when his name was found among those of the Inter casualty lists, and many a heirt throbbed with well mettled admiration tor the brave lad who went at his country's call, prepared to lay on the altar of British principle* the greatest sacrifice man can make—life icselr.
