Funeral Services Friday For Ellen Eliason, 71Miss Ellen Eliason, 71, died at a hospital in Chicago. She had been visiting in Chicago for one week. Born December 21, 1896 in Gre-bestad, Sweden, she came to this country at the age of 3 with her parents, coming directly to Wakefield.She attended the Wakefield schools and graduated as valedictorian of her class. She attended a Business School at Ferris Institute at Big Rapids, Michigan. She then worked in Wakefield as a secretary for Wakefield’s first Mayor, Alvin L. Rummell. In 1929 she went to Chicago and worked as a secretary until returning to Wakefield in 1961.Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Fritz Carlson of Ironwood; Mrs. Elmer Henker of Yorkville, 111.; four brothers, Ernest of Sun City, Arizona; Gunard of Pittsburg, Pa.; Herbert of Muskegan; and Clarence of Wyndotte, Michigan.The Lakeside Memorial Chapel will open for visitation on Thursday, July 4 at 6:00 p. m. and the funeral is set for Friday, July 6 at 1:00 p. m. at the Lakeside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Eis-entraeger officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.
