John Grimland of Midland, a past president of Optimist International, presided over the formalities of the charter meeting.He was assisted by Optimist zone Governor Gary Ingram of Toyah and Anastacio Gaml)Oa, who was the new club rhair-man of the parent organization, the Pecos Evening OptimistClub.The club met the minimum chartering requirements of the international organization, with 25 charter members, and 15 present at the first official meeting.
