Leonidas Plaza HereA family among the most famous and prominent of Ecuador, the prosperous little nation on the equator in South America has located in Coronado and will be here for some time.The party consists of Lt. and Mrs. Leonadas Plaza and their daughter, Carmen; the lieutenant’s mother, Mrs. Avelina de Plaza and his .sisters, Miss Marie and Miss Alegria Plaza.Mrs. Avelina de Plaza is the wife of a former president of Ecuador, General Leonidas Plaza, serving two terms at diffenent times. From 1901 to 1905 and was elected again in 1914 and served another term.Another son of this famouspresident, Jose Plaza, resides in San Diego where he represents his country as consul.The lieutenant is on duty with the United States Army as goodwill exchange officer for his native land.The children of the former president were educated in the United States, Miss Alegria attended Merymont Junior College in Los Angeles, Jose Plaza is a graduate of the Virginia Military academy and the lieutenant attended William and Mary college but received his military training in his own country.They are located here on Glori-etta boulevard.
