Asnorucement has been made by Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hesbroeck of Poughkeepse, of the engorgement of rmaeir daughter, Miss Rosalind Hasbrouck, to William Swift Lane, son of Mrs. H. Swift Lane of Pough keepsie and Silas duane of Balti more Both Miss Hasbrouck and Mr. Lane belong to families identified with the earliest history of the Hudson river in Ulster and Duch ess counties. Miss Hasbrouck is a descendant of Jean and Abraham Hasbrouck, ono of the twelve Hustienst patentees to whom New Paste Patent was granted by Queen Anne. She also is of distinguished New Ennegland ancestry, numbering among her forebears William BraJ ford, second Governor of the Ply mouth Colony, and Thomas Dudley, second Governor of the Colony of Massachusetts Bay. Miss Hasbrouck was graduated from Mount Hoboke College, and has taken post-graduate work in art at Vassar, the Berkshire Sum mer School of Art, and the New ark School of Fine and Industrial Art, and studied also with her cou sin, Charles Shepard Chapman, N. A. She is a member of the Junior League of Poughkeepsie. She is related to the Oxedensburg Has broocks. Mr. Lane's ancestors were prom inent in the Quaker settlements of Dutches County. His great-grand father, Charlies W. Swift, was third Mayor of Poushkeepsie, and an other great-strandfather, Theodore Van Kleek, was an early member of the Holland Society of New York, of which Miss Hasbrouck’s grandfather, Frank Hasbrouck, was president in 1907 and her father vice-president in 1927. Mr. Lane attended the Stone and Oakwood Schools and was gradu ated from the Bliss Electrical School in Washington.
