SEEKING LAWRENCE BROTHERS;DEPUTIES LAND AUTO THIEVES^ _Little Juarez” Bright Lights Bring Youthful Alleged Bandits Into Toilsr Because three young men did not match their equipage in the eyes ofItwo cunning deputy sheriffs who were • Turriiearching^fiTrAhF/Lawrence-ixroth-ers, the three young men were landed behind the bars- of Sequoyah county jail and are now enroute to Jacksonville, Texas, to face the music.Roy Cheek, who brought 'in Charley Cotner alive and Mont Grady who brought in Ed Lockhart dead, were riding along in search of the slayers ,of Joe Morgan, a Muskogee county deputy sheriff, when they encountered the beautiful new Buick and its three misfits near the west end of Arkansas river bridge leading out of Fort SmithAt the little town of Moffett, which Is known as Little Juarez” Cheek said in recounting the circumstances “a handsome new six-cylinder Buick car was standing. In it sat threeAboys about twenty years of age. Their appearance did not correspond with the .car .51nd thinking something might he wrong we stopped them for a chat.”The boys were willing talkers and gave their names as Roy Reynolds, Joe . Anderson and Ray Burns, and said they were from Shreveport. The car carried a Louisiana license tag and a Shreveport name, Reynoldswheel when the youthful alleged bandits were taken in. •Cheek and Grady were working on a clue whereby they might land the slayers of Joe Morgan and they did not spend much time with the .boys in making an arrest, but hurried' on to Fort Smith where Cheek telephoned back to Sallisaw and had the local officers watch for them.
