Therefore we will mention only the pieces in crayon and oil, contesting for the Mooney Prizes.‘•Twilight’’ by Miss Eftie Maiincin oil, a pictures full of beauty, showing a country landscapebathed in the after glow of a gorgameesveralleous sunset as it fades in the shadt s of night. Miss Eiiie Marine also gave evidence of artistic ability i n her piece called “Waiting lor the Hunters,’’ done in crayon,-portraying a young girl with her two dogs, equipped for the chaise, anxiously waiting the arrival of a hunting nartv.1 *»Miss Myrtle Waterman exhibited a era) on ob three cunning foxes in a hollow tree. The excellence of the work gives promise to happy results if she but perseveres in this most delightful of studies.“A Scottish Deer” shown by Miss Ina Wright, speaks in lkititr ng terms of her talent in this line, waiting to lie brought out and developed through the careful training of art education.M iss Edna Brush wilier displayed two pieces in crayon which were well executed and gave evidence of careful study. One “Cats Asleep’-the othf r, “The Water ng Place,”1 charming scene with cows con,tentedly standing in the water under neath the ('.ranches of a wide ^ spreading tree, while dimly out lined in the distance may be seen a shepherd with his dog and dock.The picture in crayon, “Thoughts oi l’usgon Life.’’ was an attractive evidence of the genius of lT?ss j \bbie Bloomer.
