Mr. Milton Holden, of this village,has presented ua with a very fine ecccimeu of native lead, found several miles from (his village. Tliis reminds us that last full ivc found a very line specimen of float copper in the Bogus valley, and near the valley, a small specimen of float lead. Ecrlv this spring, on the dividing- ridge between Hicks valley and the Chippewa, Tve also found a fair specimen of flout lead. ‘From the sharpness of the corners of ihecubes, (lead IS Invariably dcpo.iited incubes or square*,) wc infer that it lias .floated but a short distance from the 'mine or main deposit. The peculiar shape of the bluffs and ravines, and also the rock, is highly indicative of large mineral depositcs in this section of country. About eight miles above here, near Stockholm, has been found large quantities of iron ore. Also in various other1 localities iron has been found.
