MR. AND MRS. R. MICHAEL KJARTemple Rites Unite CoupleMiss Janet Elizabeth Gray became the bride of Roy Michael KJar Friday, June 27th in rites solemnized in the Mantl LEG Temple. President Reuel E. Christensen officiated.The new Mrs. KJar is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Russell Gray of Ephraim. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie L. Madsen of Ephraim.Following the wedding ceremony, the couple were honored at a wedding breakfast in the Ephraim North Ward cultural hall given by the parents of the groom.In the evening the just-weds greeted guests at a reception in the LDS Institute of Religion. Decorations were carried out in a theme of pink and red.The bride wore a floor-length gown of luxurious peau de sols which she had fashioned with a train and long-pointed sleeves. Her train length veil was handmade by Mrs. Phyllis Carpenter of sheer woven nylon, the ruffle around the veil and Jhe veil being completely lined with bridal illusion. It was caught together with matching peau de sois roses edged with tiny seed pearls. The bridal bouquet was of red rose buds and lilies of the valley.Bridal attendants were Mrs. Russell L. Gray, a sister-in-law of the bride, matron of honor; Mrs. Ned Larsen and Miss Sandra Neeley, maids of honor; bridesmaids were Mrs. Mary Lou Gray and Mrs. Janet Hughes. Flower girls wereAmy Rasmus on (Robert) and Kimmle Hansen (Robert Gray).Their dresses of pink summer dacron and cotton blend were styled like the bridal gown with a scoop neckline, short sleeves and a ruffle around the bottom of the street - length skirt. They wore shoulder-length veils in pink net caught at the center with red nylon organdy flowers. Attendants bouquets were red and pink nosegays.Assuming duties of best men were brothers of the groom, R. Bruce KJar, Richard C.KJarand David L. KJar.Ushers wereEdwardF. Gray, Robert C. Gray, Dr. Russell L. Gray, brothers of the bride, R. D. Hughes, brother-in-law of the groom, and MerwinKJar, cousin of the groom.Gift bearers were Dewey Gray (Russell), Alan KJar (Richard) and Ronald KJar (David). Mrs. Bruce KJar and Mrs. David KJar were In charge of displaying gifts.Seated at the guest book were Miss Susan Ericksen and Miss Linda Wlllden.Assisting as hostess was Mrs. Robert Rasmuson with Miss Julianne Howell and Miss Kristine Stoddard at the revolving buffet table and punch bowl. Helping with the serving were Rae Ann Rasmuson (Robert), Janica Jensen (Halbert), Karen Blackham (Dorothy), Terri e KJar (Bruce), Debra KJar (Richard) and Teresa Hughes (H. D.).Background music for the reception was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Richard NIbley, Miss Marjorie Rands, cousin of the bride, Miss Cherril Madsen and Mrs. Richard KJar.The departing guests were given thank you scrolls tied in red ribbon by Jana Lee Sperry (Earl and Linda Sperry).Before leaving for their honeymoon the newlyweds cut the pink wedding cake which had been made by an aunt of the groom, Mrs, Dorothy Blackham of Moroni.For her going away attire, the bride wore a light beige suit with yellow blouse and ascot tie featuring a scalloped hemline. Her corsage was a single white orchid.The couple will make their homo in Logan where they will continue their education at the Utah State University,I*1
