The firm was established at that time by T. J. Webb Sr., as a retail business, and later grew into a wholesale business. In 1930, the plant was moved to Salisbury, where the main office is nowlocated.T. J. Webb Sr., and his son, J. Edward Webb own the business and operate the office and plant at Salisbury, while another son, Jefferson Webb, officiates in the capacity of Manager of the Crisfield branch.
