Cady, Helen M.REEDSBURG-Helen M. Cady, age 96. of Reedsburg. passed away on Tuesday, June 27,2017, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Wis. She was born on Sept. 30,1920, in Franklin Township, Sauk County. Wis.. the daughter of Carl and Sarah (Mears) Volk She was married to Wayne C. Cady and their marriage was blessed with four children,Helen wrote many articles for the Reedsburg Times Press, and was a member ot the Cross Plains American Legion Auxiliary Post 245. She volunteered at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center, St. Vincent's and Voting locations. She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Loreto, Wis., and was nominated one year as their Irish Queen.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne on Sept. 5,1993; step-sons, Chuck Cady and Herb Cady; brothers, Joe (Alice) Volk, James (Norma) Volk, and Martin (Genevieve) Volk; and sisters. Teresa (Harold) Weitzel and Mary (Bernard)Cummings.Helen is survived by her children, Charles (Barbara) Cady, Dan (Pat) Cady, Cathy (Erv) Peters, and Jan Cady (Dave Doman), grandchildren, Susan (Kurt) Kavajecz. Jill (Guy) Amoth, Matt (Pam) Cady, Jeff (Nicole) Cady, Mike (Sarah) Cady. Renee (Dan) Anthony, Nicole Cady. Michelle (Ethan) Kister. Robert (Gail Corbin) Peters, Emily (Bill) Hedrick, Brandon Schrank, and Kaitlin Schrank; 18great-grandchildren; sister, VeronicaBonnie Wolf; special step grandson, Jeff (Linda) Cady; special step daugh-ter-m-iaw, Pat Cady; many additional step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grand-children; numerous nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.Special thanks to Andrea DeMayThe Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Thursday. July 6,2017, at 11 a.m. in ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Loreto. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, July 6,2017, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Loreto The Farber Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
