Cleo J. WorthyServices for Cleo J. Worthy, 78-year -old retired carpenter of Collinsville, were held Friday, June 26,1961 at Huff Funeral Chapel. Rev. Hugh Newsom, Miller Memorial Baptist Church, Collinsville, officiated at the services.Mr. Worthy died Wednesday, June 24, 1981 at Collinsville Care Home. Interment was Mt. Zion Cemtery, south of Collinsville, under direction of Huff Funeral Home.Mr. Worthy was the son of Luther Worthy and Ida Elsie Springer Worthy, bom June 28,1902 in Grayson County. He married Birttie Hunt, May 16, 1920 in Grayson County. He was a member of the Baptist church.Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Birttie Worthy of Collinsville; son, William S. Worthy of Denton; daughters, Nadine Spraberry, Katherine Sprayberry and Mary Ann Cox, all of Denton, Marie Camer of Mississippi and Bonnie Fay Foss of Dallas; fourteen grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers were Buster Barnes, Robert Wayne George, James Spraberry, O.M. Quattlebaum, Junior Green and Abb Overstreet.
