Funeral Held, For Charles RossFuneral service for Charles W. Ross was held at the Cookes Funeral Home on Monday afternoon with the Kev. Owen Wilson officiating Mrs. Homer Scarff and Mrs. Peter Hinkle sang. What A Friend We Have in Jesus” and -The Old Rugged Cross.”Mrs. Dan Winter played the organ. Burial was in Green Mound cemetery.Pallbearers were: Cliff Ricks, Jay Ricks, Max Ross, Allen Ross, Or lend es Ross and Orlef Caper on.Charles Wesley Ross, son of Wesley and Betsy (Moore) Ross was born Mnrclx 2G, 18G6. In Henry county. At the age of 81 years, he passed from this life at Memorial Hospital* Saturday evening, June 28, following several weeks illness.-lr‘ Ross has r^ided in Henrycounty his entire life, with the exception of four years spent at Adair County, la.On Jan. 9, 1C90 he wavS united in marriage to Rosie Ellen Walton. They returned to Henry county, settled on a farm in Jefferson township, which has remained his home.Surviving arc three sons, one | daughter, Mrs. Stacy Ricks, Burlington; Ralph, Win f eld; David and Leonard, ML Pleasant; one brother, Joe Ross, Merriinac, also nine grandchildren 'and six great grandchildren. His wife and three children preceded him in death.FOUR CORNERSFour Corners—Mrs; Emil Quick entertained a number of . friends of Pauline Quick last Wednesday afternoon at a household shower. Pauline received many lovely gifts.Mary Lou Dimbur spent a couple weeks at the Charles Reed home.
