R. O. Allen, Republican candidate for t Register of Deeds in York countv was L,it town Monday of this week. He hadbeen to Polk and the country surround- j ing that place looking up his political prospects. Mr. Allen has of late been publishing the Bradshaw Monitor and has succeeded in getting' out a clean newsy sheet that was credit to the town. He was also for a short time the editor j of The Polk Progress and has worked in both offices at Osceola. He has also * been connected with the Mid-west E Printing Co., of York so that he must 1 by this time have quite an acquaintance 1 especially through the northern part of 1 York County which ought to work con- 1 siderably to his advantage. *
