Gold House .Christian Advocate; Some girls employed in the United States mint at Philadelphia became interested in a little English sparrow that occupied a bird house near one of the -windows. They allowed the little bird to fly and' out of the smelting room and to pick up the crumbs that fell fr^ their luncheons. One day, on peeping into the house to see the eggs, they were amazed to see the sides and floor yellow with gold dust. The dust had clung to the sparrow’s feathers and was shaken out when he made ms toilet in his private apartment.
