ELECTRIC TOWERS.Their Erection it Interfered With by thl Arrest of the Workmen. For some days the Brush Electric Light and Power Co., has had men employed digging holes #n the corner of several of the principal streets for the erection of mastsfor their electric lights. By so doing the company has been violating a city ordinance, which provides that they have to get the permission of the city council before they can put up masts of the size they intend to, or tear up the streets and sidewalks for that purpose. This morningCity Engineer Shearer told themen engaged on the work that they must desist, and upon their refusal to comply with the order, the mayor and several other eity officials had a consultation, at which ex-mayor Cavan, as representative of the company was present, when it was decided to issue warrants for the arrest of the workmen who are digging the holes, and serve the war-rauts at once in case they should insist upon going ahead with the work.
