Summer rates at the Club are as low as $40 a month IPoughkeepsie BranchOn May 28 the branch had a delightful supper on the terrace at Alumnae House. After the supper, Elizabeth Caven Seely, j26, president of the branch, introduced the speakers of the evening. Mrs. Emerson D. Fite told us of the work of the Women’s Legislative Forum in Albany, which she attended this past winter. Miss Martha May Reynolds, ’15, spoke about the C.W.A. Nursery Schools which have been established in Poughkeepsie and in other sections of the county. Mr. Fite gave us a word of greeting and spoke briefly on the subject of recent state legislation, A business meeting ofthe branch followed, conducted by Mrs. Seely. Elizabeth Meade, ’27, chairman of the benefit, reported that $485 was the net profit 011 the play. Other reports were also given, as this was the final business meeting of the year. The branch voted to give $50 to the Alumnae Fund to be tiscd for Alumnae House in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of Alumnae House. This is, of course, in addition to the money contributed as the Ella McCalcb scholarship fund.The president of the branch has appointed two committees to serve next year. First, a committee to plan a program of meetings for the year: Elizabeth Matteson Mansfield, ex ’25, chairman, Marie Gallup Ambrose, Ti, and Catharine W. Bockee, T9. Second, a committee to plan a benefit: Christine Ramsey, ’29, chairman, Hilda E. Vanderpool, To, and Evangeline Moore Darrow, T 6.We are very glad to report that eight new alumnae have been added to our list of membership this year.The present officers of the branch continue to serve next year: Elizabeth Caven Seely, *26, president; Martha May Reynolds, Ty, vice-president; Catharine W.
