n ReadersMEMORIAL TABLETS UNVEILED AT CLUB1Two bronze tablets presented by the families of Mrs. Catherine R. Fraunfelter and Mrs. Phoebe I* Vignos were unveiled Thursday mornlnf In the music room of the Canton Women’s club at an Impressive service of which Mn. C. C. Rarrick had charge. Mr*. Fraun-felter and Mrs. Vignos were oharter members of Sorosis and looked forward to the time when a Woman's club could be established in Canton. The charter memorial memberships were taken out by their families thus lending substantial aid to the project In which they were interested. The organization of the Woman's club In Canton was originated and fostered by Sorosis under the leadership of Mrs. C. C. Barrick. The tablets were unveiled on the third anniversary of the founding Of the Woman’s club.*Mrs. Rarrick gave a short address calling attention to the fact that the club was the outgrowth of the thoughts and efforts of the pioneer club women of Canton.Beautiful wreaths of red clover blossoms, the Sorosis flower, were hung on the tablets. The Fraun-felter wreath was presented J»y Mrs. S. S. Senter. representing the Central Committee of the Woman’s club and the Vignos wreath wae made end presented by Mies Blanche and Miss Alice Vignos. daughters of Mrs. Phoebe Vignos. Dr. James Fraun-felter and Miss Lucille Vignos, grandchildren, unveiled the tableta Mrs. Carrie Theobald, a life-lorig friend of Mrs. Vignoa, delivered the eulogy. She recalled the olub work done with Mra Vignos In 118T. her work in the Columbian Reading Circle and as a charter member of Sorosis y^ien Mra Kate 6. Sherwood was president.Mra Vignos was born in Louls-vtile, she finished her education at a private school In Columbus and taught for several years before her marriage.
