CLUB WORK The Boys and Girls Pig Club of Union County is going strong, al ready fifteen boys have enrolled in the Pure Bred Gilt Club from all part of the County we have also one or two litter clubs and we will have more entries as soon as the boys can secure their pigs so far we have the popular pigs in this club, mime ly Duree, Jersey, Chester White, Spotted Poland China's Poland Chi na’s and Hampshire, we try to get the boys whoever breed they want, the boys in the Maxwell Pig Club also have an opportunity to enter this club. GIRLS CLUB On Tuesday of this week Miss Hill of ‘the Extension Dept. Iowa State' College, met with a group of girls in the Farm Bureau office, and outlined plans, for Girls Club work. The girls were all enthusiastic over the proposition and on Friday, Miss Hill will be back in the County to take up the work with ‘the local people, to help the girls put their clubs across. When these clubs have become established, Miss Hill will visit the County every month, help ing the girls with their program af ter the clubsare established, they meet twice a month in some home in their community during the school period these clubs meet once a month. There are many lines of work which they can take up such as Clothing, Canning, Art and nutri tion. We are endeavoring to shave the girl’s mothers in the several townships start these clubs, prior to this time Union County has never had a Girls Club. Nearly every Coun ty in the State have well establish ed Clubs and Union should not lack in this work for the girls, all who are interested will have an oppor tunity to meet Miss Hill when she comes to the County in the interest of these Clubs.
