It has reached such a height that, there is no doubt But, ‘that in the near future’ every city will be visited by an aeroplane almost daily. In view of these facts, the City Council of ‘the City of Thomasville has ‘set aside, a ‘piece of property ‘as an aeroplane, landing place'and has named the site in honor of one of its ‘sons, T. L. Spence, Jr., who lost his” life in his” country’s service, in France as ‘an officer of the Aviation Corps. The’ field’is to be officially known as the Tommie _ Spence’ “Aviation Field, “Tommie being the name he “was affectionately ” ‘Known by’ among hig comrades. ‘Thomasville, Thomas County, Ga is’ in Latitude 30 ° 48” and, Long tide: 83 °. 58’ and the aviation “field es a few points west of oil from the center, of the’ ‘ity. ‘Tt ‘in’ the apex: ‘formed by the ‘Atlantic Coast Line Railroad coming in ‘from. al bany, Georgia, to..the ‘north, ‘and the.
