B., who taught in the Cathedral High School of Crook-ston during the past year, has been elected Prioress of the Benedictine 8isters of Duluth. She has under her Jurisdiction 225 sisters, 21 parochial schools, 4 hospitals, one orphanage, and one home for the aged.The members of the Young Ladies Sodality of the Cathedral parish held a very successful social at the Klewel’s farm last week, from which a neat sum was realized.The Canadian Club gave a French soiree in the Cathedral auditorium for the benefit of St. Ann’s church.Argyle: The old church was burned down in Argyle. It was fully covered by insurance, The new church will he ready for dedication within four months. The English speaking church will be dedicated toward the middle of August.Plummer: The Rev. Sam Bouchard celebrated the silver jubilee of his priesthood on last Wednesday. The Jubilarlan was assisted at the Solemn High Mass, corain Kpiscopo, by Rev. Adolph Dingmann, O. S. B.. as assistant priest, Rev. J. Wurm as deacon, Rev. P. Lefloch as subdeacon, Mr. George Proux as master of cermonies. Present in the sanctuary were the Rev-erend Fathers E. Lem Ire, J. J. T. Philippe. Eugene Woerdehoff, O. S. B.. J. J. Hawks. ITlrlch Beste, O. 8. B., and A. J. Junghans. At noon the ladies of the parish served a banquet in honor of Father Bouchard.Barnesville: The Bishop administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to a large class last Sunday. Solemn High Mass was celebrated by FaiJ*er Michael, O. S. B.. assisted by Father Victor O. S. B.. as deacon, and Father Ansgar Osendorf, O. S. B., as subdea* con. A high tribute of praise was given Rev. Ansgar Osendorf O. S. B., the pastor, for his efficient work in Barnesville.
