will he horse racing and other kindred sports that go together tomake an ideal celebration on this day.Baseball Carnival at HankinsonHankinson will have no formal Fourth of July celebration this year, hut the base ball hoys have arranged for a carnival of hall games and races, sports, iireworks and other attractions on Saturday, July 3rd. Sisseton, with one of the strongest teams in the northwest, will play ball against the locals both morning and afternoon. “Cannonball” Jackson, one of the star pitchers for the All-Nations last season, will pitch for Sisseton in one of the games. Sisseton has trimmed all coiners this year except Hankinson, including Havana and other fast teams, and two games of the very best baseball may be looked for. Geo. Kennix will pitch one of the games for Hankinson.The program has not been) completed as yet but, will include races of all kinds, novelty contests, fireworks and a big dance in the evening. An enjoyable time is promised to all who spend the 3rd at Hankinson.(Continued on page -6) •
