- whom were wmte.WORK TO BE BEGUN.It is reported, says the Little Rock Democrat, that work will begin not later than August 1 on the construction of the Batesville Jacksonport railroad, a proposed line 22 miles in length.The officers of the company, which was chartered May 18, 1903, are:H. Devereux, Little Rock, president and chief engineer.Ernest Neill, Batesville, secretary.S. R. Phillips, Newport, and N. A. Adler, directors.Arthur Neill, Little Rock, general attorney.The proposed road will follow the survey made in 1882 for the Batesville and Brinkley road and is on a water grade.MOONLIGHT PICNIC.
