ALUMNI Pay.βThe business meeting of the Alumni Association was held in Eccrltean Hall, Wednesday, June 8,. at 3 p. m. Officers were elected for the ensuing year as follows: President, Mrs. Ida Carey Burns, Monmouth; First Vice-President, Mrs- Mary Porter Kyle, Alexis; Second Vice-President, Rev. W. P. White, Indtanola, Iowa; Third Vice-President,Mrs. Margaret Oliver, Toulon; Recording Secretary, T. W, Todd, Monmouth; Corresponding' Secretary, Miss Alice Winbigler, Monmouth; Treasurer, R. A. Wilson, Monmouth* Rev, J; H. Gibson, of Pittsburgh, Kansas, was elected to represent the Alumni in the College Senate. The annual banquet was held in the Assembly Room at 6 p.m. An unusually large company was present. Hon. Adlai E, Stevenson, of Bloomington, arrived in.time to attend. Owing to the unexpected .large at-, tendance, and consequent crowded . condition of the room the usual post-prandial speeches were omnvtted. After some time spent in social intercourse the assemblage proceeded to the audience room of the Auditorium, where an interesting literary and musical program was carried out. The chief speakers were Mrs. Minnie Stewart Field, β72, of Florida, and Hon. D. P. Phelps,'62, of Chicago. ...
