l-IItONE MIN KILLED.An Erie Train Wrecked by a Cow Above Friendship.Erie freight train, No. 82, was wrecked east of Cuba Summit and west of Friendship last Friday night, and 21 freight cars were thrown into the ditch and totally ruined.It appears that a cow belonging to George Clapp had got on the track and was asleep in the center of the roadbed when the freight, which was heavily0 loaded* came thundering down the1 grade.* The engine and tender passed over cow all right without being derailed, but 21 freight cars were piled up and scattered along the track like kindling b wood. The wrecking crews were sent 1 for, also the section men fronx Friend-1 ship* Cuba, Belmont, etc., and the track: r was sufficiently cleared to allow trains 9 to pass, Saturday.Brakeman Pat Curry received injuries from which he shortly afterwards died. He was an unmarried man, about 25 years old and lived in Hornellsville. Two other brakemen were seriously injured.Trains were sent via. Buffalo until the track was cleared.1£c
