A. L. Barber,.of Washington, D. C., president of the Barber Asphalt Paying Co., of Washington and New-York,accompanied by his wife, the latter aformer resident of Belmont, arrived in town last Wednesday, and Mrs. Julia Bangdon Barber purchased the house and lot on Washington street, how occupied by Harry Davis, of R. A. Whitcomb, and presented the same to thePresbyterian church for a parsonage.This was formerly the property of Mrs.4Barber's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Barber^ , *â– returned last Friday evening.
