From the New Albany Ledger.Port Wayne and Soataera RailroeAA lew days since we copied from the Fort Wayne Sentioelan article stating that thedi-rectorsof the Fort Wayne and Southern Railroad had determined to so change the route of their road as to run it by the way of New Castle, Rutbville, Greensburg, Vernon, Lexington, and Charlestown, to Jeffersonville or New Albany.The last mails bring us the proceedings of meetings held at Rushville and Greensburg, at which a very lively interest was manifested for tbe new route and resolutions passed strongly favoring the project. A committee of the directors, with the engineer, were present at these meetings, and explained the tie signs of the company, which are ultimately to connect the great Lakes, by way of Fort Wayne, with the Gulf of Mexico, by way of the Falls of the Ohio. We presume the committee will visit the other places on the pro posed line, and will also spcmd some time in the cities of Jeffersonville, Louisville, and New Albany, to ascertain what are the feelings and views of their citizens relative to the proposed road.This a work to which we think the atten-
