Fred Davey’s 227-633 couldn’t save a 1411 Team No. 8 defeat to pacesetting Meyer Jewelry, Franklin Skelly stopped New Trend, 17-8, and Rob Monaco’s 236- 626 ignited Team No. 3 by Sharkey’s Racing, 16-9. Elsewhere, Hamm’s Beer stopped Herald Office Sup ply, 18-7, and Roy Rosamond’s 233-620 couldn’t stop Rupert Manufacturing from losing 15-10 to Diamond Bowl. Elsewhere, Tom Malone’s 617 and Dan Clark’s 608 led CR Furniture to a shutout of Sterling Auto Supply. Systems Material Handling shut out George Lindsey Steakhouse, Verona Room No. 2 tripped Sterling Lanes, 3-1, Sharp-Long Heating bested Sue’s Coffee Shop, 3-1, and first-place Bell Pest Control split with Verona Room No. 1, but still leads by seven and a half games. STRIKE ’N SPARE FRIDAY LADIES SCRATCH King Louie Red Bridge moved to within three points of first-place McIntosh Heating Cooling by routing Gilbert Amusement, 14-2, behind Debbie Smith’s 229-584 and Darlene Shaw’s 560. McIntosh, meanwhile, stopped Northeast Carpet Center, 12-4, with Betty Fisher totaling 547 for the losers. Ruth Rose’s 554 and Sally Kubrick’s 559 enabled the Cold Ducks to down Bob’s Conoco Service, 10-6, and June Redenbaugh’s 560 wasn’t enough as New Trend lost 10-6 to Moody Con struction. First-place Odessa Ford Sales rode Ken Pence’s 215- 604 and Gary Timberlake’s 595 to a 15-10 triumph over Earp Sons Mortuary, guided by Chuck Nash’s 584. John Richerson’s 216-613 enabled Fun House Pizza to shade Garrison-Witthur Builders, 134-1142. Clayton Graham’s 213-606 sparked the victims. And Jerry Lawler’s 223-605 and 581 by Bill Jones fueled a 15-10 Jerry’s U. S. Mart victory over Arrow Awards.
