The Weather Bureau said some railroad trains may have to be re-routed from the Elliston area, where the White is expect ed to hit a crest of 28.5 Satur day, highest since a 29.34 read ing in January 1950. Flood Sage there is 18 feet. The East Fork of White River was predicted to go above flood Stages during te next few days but no evacuations were expect ed to be necessary. Many roads will be closed in the East Fork lowlands and farmers were warned to move cattle. The flooding resulted from five days of rains, especially heavy the last three days. Rain fall ranged up to 5 inches in many areas and was continuing Thursday. The Weather Bureau said there would be only a 20 per cent chance of the rain continu ing Friday, but there was a pos sibility of more rain or snow Friday night and Satur da y. A tragedy was narrowly averted in Thursday's da . Two Marian College sedans, exploring Salamander Cave near Bloomington, were trapped by a sudden surge of rainwater into the cavern.
