R. P. Johnson, R. I. Wilde, J. A. Tctts, W. D. Gooch and J. E. Dunn, were apjxunted, and after a recess of one hour they reported as follows:‘'To the Chairman of the People’s Party State Central Committee and Members :“We, the members of your honorable body, appointed for the purpose of conferring with the candidates on the State ticket, bog leave to report:“That we advise the filling of vacancies caused by the resignation of S. Whited, Lieutenant Governor; J. B. Klein peter, Auditor; A. T. Nelson, Treasurer, and the nomination of an Attorney General, loft vacant by the action of the State convention. In regard to the nomination for Governor, we call attention to the fact that the jm-sition is 1 icing antagonized by many of the prominent men in our party ami by some of its organs, and recognizing his patriotism and his earnest desire for the victory of the principles of our platform in April, we believe that in the interest of harmony and success ho will acquiesce in and heartily support tlio action of this committee in placing a new man at the head of our ticket and the consequent completion of such a ticket as will represent all the op|xieition to the present administration, thus carrying out the manifest will of our State convention as expressed in our platform and all the earlier and more deliberate actions of our jwirty. Wo would therefore suggest the appointment of a committee to issue an address to the people naming candidates for all places on the ticket subject to the final declination of Mr. Booth.“R. P. Dunn.The report was unanimously adopted, after full and free discussion.Nominations were then declared in order and the new ticket was then made as indicated in the address of the committee which appears elsewhere in this issue.Messrs.
