The afflicted mother starts in tho morning With tho remains of her child for Kansas* carrying with her the sympathies of many friends in this city.An Adams County Boy Prospering.—Thomany frionds of Reynard Cook, formerly of this county, will bo glad to hear of his prosperity and that ho is now First Lieutenant of Company I in the 15th Wisconsin Regiment, and is a highly esteemed popular and efficient officer-being considered ono of tfo best in the Regiment. Tho regiment has bcch ordered to Fort Leavenworth for tho South-western expedition as soon as they aro ready to move, which vrili bo before long.
