BALLETPat Ivey/Courier NewsA group of aspiring ballerinas from the Jonesboro Foundation of the Arts dance program received a private dance lesson Monday from Russian ballerina Marina Medvetskaya (right), former prima ballerina of the National Opera and Ballet of Georgia, formerly part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The lesson was arranged at the request of one of the foundation’s dance teachers following Saturday’s performance by the St. Petersburg Ballet at the Ritz Civic Center in downtown Blytheville.
